Physical Development Interventions
Physical development interventions at Selworthy are tailored to support each learner's abilities, promote motor skills and enhance overall wellbeing. These interventions often include adapted physical education, sensory-motor activities and therapeutic exercises designed to improve coordination, balance and strength. By incorporating inclusive games, assistive equipment and one-to-one support, we can create safe, engaging environments where learners can participate meaningfully.
Our Hazelbrook Campus has a Hydropool on-site, which further allows learners to access this additional form of physical therapy. As well as on-site experiences, we look to provide our learners with off-site community visits to broaden their awareness of the opportunities they have within their local communities.
The Physical Development interventions can not only foster physical health, but also boost confidence, social interaction and independence, helping children thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
