About the Oakhill Campus
Oakhill Campus is the original Selworthy School site and home to our Primary Phase. Our learners are taught across 11 classes by a team of dedicated teachers and teaching assistants.
Oakhill is a place where our learners are taught the core early skills of attention and communication. All learners will be given a voice and be listened to. Learners are taught to how to regulate their emotions through co-regulatory support and begin to learn to regulate their emotions independently to be ready to learn. A multi-sensory approach is used to deliver lessons and meet learners’ needs. We work closely with families, therapists, and specialists to deliver a holistic approach to learning that supports emotional, social, and academic development.
Independence is the golden thread that runs throughout all we do. From the day a learner starts at Oakhill, their independence is encouraged to develop core life skills which will support them throughout their school life and into adulthood.
We follow an ‘Every Moment Matters’ approach to celebrating incremental achievements and developing independence, communication and regulation skills.
