Welcome to Grove 4 Class!

Grove 4 is a vibrant and welcoming Sixth Form class supporting learners from Year 12 to Year 14. We focus on academic progress, personal development and the essential life skills our learners need for adulthood. With eight learners, each following a personalised pathway, we work towards AQA qualifications while building confidence, independence and social communication every day.

Our week is full of meaningful, real‑world experiences. Learners run our Sixth Form Spuds Enterprise, planning, preparing and selling jacket potatoes to staff. A weekly visit to the local shop gives them hands‑on practice with budgeting, shopping and making healthy choices. In our extended snack sessions, learners use the kitchen in our independent living flat to prepare their own snacks using a range of appliances - developing practical skills in a fun, engaging environment.

Each day, we watch Newsround together and explore current events, helping learners understand the world around them and share their thoughts and opinions. Throughout the year, we also take part in enterprise activities such as making crafts and selling them within the school community.

Grove 4 is a supportive, inclusive space where every learner is encouraged to thrive, celebrate their achievements and prepare confidently for life beyond Selworthy.
